Mariliz is the lead designer and director of House 2 Home Design. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, she came to the UK through show jumping, representing Greece at the biggest international shows and winning numerous titles. She went on to take a degree in Business and Accounting and spent several years in advertising. Her real passion arrived in 2007, when she bought her first flat and it needed a full renovation. She loved the process and the result, and went on to renovate more homes over the following years — there is no better way to learn than on the job. She then studied interior design at JJADA Academy in Clapham and began working with clients to realise their home aspirations. With more than fifteen years of design and build experience, Mariliz has a wide network of reliable contacts to call on, from architects and engineers to suppliers and, of course, builders.

Lead Architect, BA Hons Dip Arc

Ioanna is an ARB-registered architect in the UK. She studied Architecture and Civil Infrastructure Engineering in Thessaloniki, Greece. After 10 years of practice in Greece, she has worked on UK residential projects since 2006: luxury specification homes, internal reconfigurations, planning permission drawings and design advice to improve the layout of any room in the house. She believes every design should be tailored to the client's needs and personality — there is no generic solution that fits every property. She works closely with the project manager to reach the best design for the site's construction conditions and budget. There are always surprises on a building site, however small, and the architect's role is to adapt to them without compromising the quality of the design. Her approach to materials and finishes sits between organic and modern. The frame of a house should follow symmetry, pattern and sequence, much like mathematics. That is how you achieve a tranquil home where nothing is left to chance and everything makes sense.

Consultation
We visit, talk through how you live and what you want, and propose how we can best work together.

Drawings & planning
Our architect prepares the planning, structural and building regulations drawings.

Design
Layouts, mood boards, 3D visuals and a full specification of finishes, lighting and furniture.

Build & styling
We run the build with trusted contractors, then style the rooms so they're ready to live in.
