Interior design in Cobham
Interior design in Cobham is often about bringing a large house together. We plan layouts, finishes, lighting, joinery and furniture as one scheme, so a sequence of big rooms feels calm and connected rather than empty or mismatched. That can mean a kitchen and family room designed around how you entertain, a principal suite with a dressing room, or a boot room and utility that cope with dogs, sport and school runs. You get full access to our trade discounts, which can offset a meaningful share of the design fee on a whole-house scheme. We begin with a consultation at home, then develop mood boards, layouts and a detailed specification covering finishes, lighting, joinery and furniture. Once approved, we order and oversee everything, and finish with styling so the rooms are ready to live in from day one.

Homes in Cobham
Cobham's housing is strongly Surrey in character, with Arts and Crafts influences, local brick and tile, and half-timbering in the older centre. Many family houses sit on generous plots, some on private estates, and plenty have been extended more than once. Bringing several phases of building together so they feel like one house is a common and rewarding brief. Where a house has been extended in stages, we often realign doorways, flooring and lighting so the old and new parts read as one.
Local knowledge
Planning and local notes
Cobham is in Elmbridge. The historic core around St Andrew's Church is the Cobham conservation area, and there are separate conservation areas at Plough Corner, Downside Village and Stoke d'Abernon. Much of the land around Cobham is Green Belt, which limits how far some houses can be extended. Several private estates also carry covenants or estate rules. We check all three before any drawing starts.

FAQs
Questions we're asked
Can you design a whole house in one go?
Yes. We design the full scheme so every room relates to the next, then deliver it all at once or in phases to suit you.
Do you source furniture and art as well?
Yes. We source furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories with full access to our trade discounts, and finish with final room styling.
How much does an interior designer cost?
It's usually the first thing people ask, and we don't publish a figure, because it depends on the property and how much you want us to do. The full design service is priced per room and quoted as a fixed sum for the deliverables you've agreed. Everything we source goes through our trade accounts and the discounts are passed on to you, which on a larger project often offsets much of the design fee.
What does an interior designer actually do?
We design the room or the whole house: layout, finishes, lighting, joinery and furniture. You get a floorplan and moodboard, 2D visuals, a sample board of physical fabrics, flooring, wall finishes and tiles, 3D visuals, and a finish schedule listing every item and where to source it. Then we order it, take the deliveries and check what arrives. If the room needs building work, our architect prepares the planning and technical drawings and we can run the build.
